The 1040 Window
The greatest number of unreached people in the world...
The 10/40 Window is an area of the world that contains the largest population of non-Christians in the world. The area extends from latitudes 10 degrees to 40 degrees north of the equator, and stretches from North Africa across to China.
Two-thirds of the world's population -- more than 3.2 billion people -- live in the 10/40 Window, and a staggering 95% are unevangelized. Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism are all centered within this area.
This region of the world has the least investment of Christian resources and the lowest number of individuals involved in full-time Christian service.
If world evangelism is God’s will, then invest your time and talents among those who need to be evangelized
. The majority of those who have never heard the good news of Jesus Christ live in the 10-40 window of Asia. Almost two billion people live within the borders of these countries.
