Sierra Leone Ministry Trip

Lord willing, I will be leaving for Sierra Leone, West Africa on October 18, 2010. This particular trip really started years ago as a prayer in my heart for West Africa. We have been praying for West Africa for years and the Lord opened a door for us in 2007 to go to Ghana and Togo. While on route to West Africa, seated next to me was the Mayor of a small town in Sierra Leone. As we talked he explained how his country and its people are in need. He insisted I should come and help the needy people in Sierra Leone. I asked him to pray about it and in God’s time we will do it.

God answered my prayers this past month when I received a call. In the kindness of God, from a friend and long time partner of our ministry Dr. Henry P. Evans.  He detailed the itinerary for a conference in Sierra Leone from October 18, 2010 to October 30, 2010.  The conference calls for six days of evangelistic crusade preaching.  Dr. Evans went on to say, “Benny, three people from my church including Churches for the Nations have offered to pay for your entire trip.  I just wanted to let you know that your trip to Sierra Leon is fully paid!” Praise God!!!

As I was talking to him, I was speechless and in tears.  I did not know how to respond to him as I was overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit. All my life I have arranged crusades, conferences and other meetings for people and ministries. This was a reverse experience and I have no words to express myself. I am humbled by the opportunity.  With much prayer I am looking forward to this trip and I need your prayers.

After I return from West Africa, Lord willing, I will be heading for India on November 5 and return on November 22, 2010.  I will give you a detailed prayer list about that after I return from West Africa as well as many praises and testimonies of what God is going to do.
